Upper Grades Tomilish Time: Jingle

Today for 5th and 6th Grade Tomilish Time the students practiced a jingle from Hi, friends! Plus.

6th grade students studied the animal jingle and 5th grade students studied countries.
IMG_8256.jpg B , buh, buh, bear! The students can practice the pronunciation of `B` and other letters in the alphabet.

6th grade homeroom teachers had a great idea to make students interested in the jingle. Everyone became cool rappers.

5th Grade: Making shapes and Interviews

5th grade students continued this week in their project to create class flags for sports day.

After doing the chants, we played a game making shapes with our bodies.
DSC_0022.jpg The students got into groups of 5 or 6. Then they asked Ms. Emily, "What shape do you like?". They had to make the shape Ms. Emily said. These two groups are making circles.

After playing the game we interviewed our classmates to find out the most popular colors and shapes in the class. We used a worksheet to record our answers.

Halfway through the activity the teachers picked some students to give a good demonstration. "Let's watch!"

Then the students continued with the activity trying to copy the good points about the demonstration.

After the interviews the teachers collected the results.
