Upper Grades Tomilish Time : 5th Grade 1st Tomilish!

This week we started our English activites for the new school year. On Tuesday, we had our first Upper Grades Tomilish Time for this school year. 6th grade students had national tests so only 5th grade students participated in Tomilish Time.

We started Tomilish Time with our normal greetings.

After a short orientation explaining to students the goal of Tomilish Time, the students started their first English activity of the year. We did Let's Listen 2 from Hi,friends!1 Lesson 1.
IMG_1780.jpg The students listened to greetings from around the world and had to guess what country each greeting was from.

Some of the greetings were familar to the students but other greetings were harder for them.

Next, everyone checked their answers by watching the video from each country.

"It's China!"
"That's right!"

Lastly, the students took turns to practice the greetings from the different countries.
